Expand What You Believe Is Possible
The Trekking Teacher creates transformational trekking experiences that inspire educators, leaders, and lifelong learners to discover confidence, resilience, purpose, and possibility through the journey.

My story
Growth begins one step beyond comfortable
My journey into trekking began during one of the hardest seasons of my life.
After my husband Marcus was diagnosed with leukemia, I joined a fundraising campaign with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The challenge was to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world.
I wasn't prepared to climb Kilimanjaro, but step by step I made it to the summit.
Standing on the summit, I realized I was capable of far more than I had ever believed.
When you discover you can do something that once seemed impossible, you begin to question every limit you have placed on yourself. You face challenges differently, embrace uncertainty with more confidence, and become willing to pursue dreams that once felt out of reach.
I kept trekking because I discovered that mountains have a way of transforming people from the inside out.
From Peru to the Alps, Iceland, Colombia, and the Camino de Santiago, every journey reinforced the same truth.
Before you climb a mountain, you first have to climb the mountain in your mind.
As an educator, I realized this lesson extends far beyond the trail.
People become what they believe is possible. Educators have the power to expand what people believe is possible.
That realization became the foundation for The Trekking Teacher.
Today I help educators, students, and lifelong learners discover they are capable of far more than they ever imagined through curiosity, challenge, storytelling, and exploration.

My mission
Why I Lead Treks
Every trek is about much more than reaching a destination. It is about discovering resilience, confidence, curiosity, and connection. When we change our environment, we often change our perspective. Sometimes we even change our lives.

What I Believe
Every person is capable of more than they realize.
The greatest lessons often happen outside the classroom.
Travel should transform us, not simply entertain us.
Community makes difficult journeys possible.
Before you climb a mountain, you first have to climb the mountain in your mind.

The Trail Is Waiting.
Whether your journey begins on the Camino, in Peru, Ghana, or somewhere we have not yet discovered together, I would be honored to walk beside you.
